Fan of the Day? Yup, today's "Band of the Day" has a "Fan of the Day" section on their MySpace page - brilliant! Dropout Year is an up and coming pop punk outfit out of the Eastern US. They're pretty busy this month playing all over Maryland with bands like Voodoo Blue and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. They've got pretty sweet pop punk tunes ("Tragedy" has some nice Rufio-esque guitars) but I'm really down with their acoustic track "Cupid Found His Mark".
