Who's Your Granny? I love Lola Ray. I remember the first song I heard from them was "Our Brown Friends", and the whole time listening to it I felt like I was walking in a damn desert. My idiocy aside, Lola Ray has some really well-written songs. Their debut album back in 2004, entitled "I Don't Know", was met with some pretty positive critical reaction, and their 2006 follow up "Liars" was arguably just as good. Looks like when you want some decent tunes to be written, songwriter John Balicanta is the go-to guy.
