The Rainbow Connection Nidji's name is derived from the Japanese word, "niji" - meaning "rainbow". Add a "d" for spunk and you've got a pretty cool band name. The six-piece hails from Indonesia, a country that we haven't featured a band from yet, but maybe we should look there a bit more often if this group is any indication of how the music scene is over there. Weird thing: When it comes to Bono sound-alikes, I could swear that the lead singer's voice at the beginning of "Heaven" is a dead ringer. Agreed?
