A True Love Story The Submarines formed after the couple dated, broke up, and realized they still liked eachother. They found themselves writing songs about the other person and so they decided to give it another go. What came out of it was 2006's "Declare a New State!". It's such an awesome album because it emcompasses both sides of the break up and really captures what goes through everyone's minds when they're in such a state. They painted such a clear picture of how they felt after the break up; check out these lyrics to "Peace and Hate": "...Cause breaking down could not be cured by breaking up.
